Superman?..spiderman?...NO! it’s PIG-man!!!

Hahahaha…I love animal farm! In my whole life, this is my first time I finish the whole long story. although I read it a little by little, o took 3 whole night to finished it. It really makes me don’t wanna stop reading it.

While reading it, I expected that Snowy will come again and take over animal farm again. But, it just a hope. Snowy never show up again. I do imagine it every scene and part while I reading it. The most interesting part is, when I watched the cartoon, it was exactly just like what I imagined!

This is a wonderful story which I ever read. It’s how human is represented as animal in a farm nicely done by George Orwell. There are lots of characters and they suit with many kind of human. Right after I finished reading the story,  it makes me swearing non-stop towards the pigs. I also posted a status in my facebook account which made my friends though I was made to somebody because I used “BABI” as like I swearing to a person =P

YES!!! They are the same!!!

Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill, in their speeches, have similarities. This is because they have charisma and leadership characteristics which are able to gain trust from their follower.

Both in their speeches, they use “I” and ”We” while addressing as to gain attention from the listener. By doing this, they could attract the audience to pat attention to every word they are saying. No there is fillers and pauses as well. This shows that they are very confident in what they are saying. All along the speeches, most of the time, they condemn their enemy to boost up their belief in their own country’s power and ability. Furthermore, they are exaggerating and praising their own country to show that they are superior to their enemy. They also share their vision about the future.

Lots of repetition can be found in the speeches. The leaders ask rhetorical questions which make the audience to think by themselves where they are standing. Other than that, simple language is used to make sure that the speeches are fully understandable by the audience. They also use proverbs to represent something as a something else which makes the speeches more beautiful.

Last but not least, at the beginning of the speeches, they are talking crap. Crap as in the earlier part is not the main point they want to deliver. They go around and around till they reach at the end of the speech which is their main point; getting others sacrifice for the country.

Serious-enjoying-song

‘Creemos’, ‘אנו מאמינים’, ‘Wij zijn van mening’, ‘wir glauben’, ‘nous croyons’, ‘we believe’. These are the phrases that can be found in the video clip. ‘We Believe’. There are more than one language included with a purpose. Why? Different languages represent different continents. However, all of them are saying one same thing, ‘We Believe’. Everybody hates violation and sufferings. Because everyone believes in peace. We believe in life. We believe we could have a better way of life without suffer and pain. Not only for us. This includes the entire human all around the world. It is a phenomenon! A believe! A hope!

We may not notice that somewhere in this world, there are people who suffered. We continue our lives and try to survive in this world by believing in the love. When we are suffered, we always believe that the good people will come and save us. If the heroes won’t come up and save us, yet we still believe someday, someway, it will change. This ‘believes’ make us strong and give us the will to live and fight till the end of our lives.

There are lots of short clips on war as well as the disaster happened all over the world. We could see where people are helping each other. One of the most interesting scenes is when a brave man stopped a tank from attacking his place. His heroic deed will be praised by every person in the world who has the sense of love in his or her heart.

Other than war and oppression, the video also showed clips of tsunami victims who have lost everything in their life. The phrase ‘We Believe’ could give them a reason to continue living. They will stand up and pick up their pieces of life although they knew that the new beginning of their life is almost impossible as they have nothing and no one to rely on. This phrase will be a paradigm for them to move on.

We choose this song because the message they want to deliver is so deep. It is a nice song to be heard and a really beautiful in the lyrics. In the video itself, they use candles as a symbol of hope. Towards the end of the song, each and every audience held the candle at their faces and protects the lights from fading off. This could means that people are hoping for a better tomorrow, as fair and just as the light of the candles and preserving it from their awful past.
We are all the same but we lead a different way of live. We might be the victim. We might be the villain. We might be the people who fight for others. We also might be the people who do not even care to what is happening all around the world. We believe that somewhere in their heart they care about life. We believe the world can be change. No more suffered. No more war. We care about each other. We are helping each other to survive this temporary live in this world. We stand together as one. Because we are human. We are weak. We share the same thing although we live in a different part of the world.

After watching the video, you might feel the same feelings as the people who are in that kind of situation. We might not realize it but this song always reminds us about it. We tend to forget as a human. Sometimes we are not even know what we are doing until someone point it out for us. For us, Good Charlotte has delivered their messages clearly from the song.

Child out of wedlock; what to do?

First of all, when we see through A Great Injustice, we would see the relationship between Ah Nya and Steven who are the parents of the child. Steven, who supposes to be responsible towards the child, tries to escape and ask Ah Nya to abort the baby. As we could see, a baby should bring happiness to a couple but in this case; it brings destruction because the couple is not marriage. If they are marriage, there would be nothing to worry about and the baby will tighten the couple’s relationship and makes the bond grow stronger. This is why pre-marital sex becomes the cause of family institution’s destruction.

On the other hand, in The Merry Maid, although Shanmugam and Lakshmi decided to give birth to the child, the destruction of family institution is still there when they decided to “abandon the child on the doorstep of the big house” which belongs to Johan. Without being married, they are not prepared to have a child and they have to abandon the child and hope that Johan will take the baby and give the baby a proper home and fulfil the needs for the baby to live. Although the baby lives, the relationship between the parents, Lakshmi and Shanmugam, and the baby does not exist. Once again, the pre-marital sex becomes the cause of family institution’s destruction.

Because of having a child out of wedlock, a family could not be formed, and the couple could not be together. Thus, it’s the best to get married first and then only go through the process of making the baby…peace (n_n)

Edwina the emu

Eh?! What is an emu?! @_@

Dr Jaya told us about a story of a couple of emu. It is very interesting. Edwina is going to search for a job while Edward is waiting for the eggs. Edwina tries a lot of jobs including Ballet dancer, Chimney sweeper and waitress. But all the jobs seem does not suit her. The last job she tried is waitress. A costumer said that he ate eggs and suddenly, Edwina get mad and rushes back to look after her eggs. Then, she found out that the eggs already hatched and they named them with strange names. And guess what? The last name is YEEK which a sound made by her all along her journey in searching for a job.

It is interesting story with lots of colourful illustration. It would be best as a bed time story. What makes it more interesting?...it is Dr Jaya read it for us =)

Akeelah and the Bee

It is not about the winning but the journey that makes us who we are!!!

In the film, Akeelah, who is good in spelling, was not confident in her ability. After being guided by Dr Larrabee, she managed to strive and do the best that she can winning her school's spelling bee. But Dr.Larrabee pushes her further. He believes that Akeelah is an intelligent child and she can get to the giher level by a proper training. At first, Akeelah is stubborn and hard headed that she doesn't need any help to win the next spelling-bee. However, Dr. Larabee shows Akeelah that she doesn't know all the words in order to win. The moral value in this is not to be arrogant, but be humble and learn from people who can help us to be better.

Akeelah and the Bee is a movie about learning to believe in ourselves. Who knows someday we would meet students who are talented and waiting for us to discover and polished their talent to become a better person. =)
